Without a doubt, one of the BEST diners in all of Boston is Thornton’s Restaurant. Thornton’s offers great food for very affordable prices, and is a diner you will not want to miss. Best of all, it’s a quick walk from campus; right down Huntington and across from Prudential!
Self described as “simple” and “no frills”, Thornton’s provides a casual and familiar diner experience. Want breakfast for lunch? How about lunch for breakfast? Not a problem here! Thornton’s offers breakfast and lunch all day long, and is open from 7am-4pm on weekdays and 8am-4pm on weekends.
One popular Thornton’s breakfast order is Alex’s Crazy Two’s, pictured below. For only $10.75, you can get 2 eggs any style, 2 sausages, 2 strips of bacon, 2 pancakes, 2 slices of toast, and 2 scoops of home fries!
It’s no secret how great Thornton’s is. On weekends, there is almost always a line out the door, even before it opens! If you’re looking to avoid the wait, head over on a weekday, as there is usually less of a crowd. But even if you can’t make it during the week, the wait on the weekend is still well worth it!
