NU Bucket List #63 Faneuil Hall

In the heart of the downtown area lies one of Boston’s most iconic and historic landmarks, Faneuil Hall. Nicknamed the “Cradle of Liberty” by our Founding Fathers, Faneuil Hall has been a vibrant marketplace since 1742. From a great selection of stores, to the fantastic foods in Quincy Market, and the performers that frequent the streets, you’ll want to take a trip to Faneuil Hall!

For a great shopping experience, explore the 100+ stores and specialty pushcarts throughout Faneuil Hall. Faneuil Hall is not only home to national retailers such as Urban Outfitters and American Eagle, but also to local sellers. Check out the Bullmarket, an area of unique pushcarts that feature New England artisans selling a variety of different goods!

Need a break from shopping? Head to Quincy Market, right in the center of Faneuil Hall! Quincy Market is home to 36 yummy international food vendors, making sure there is something for everyone who comes to this iconic food hall. Aside from the vendors, you can also find several restaurants, including a replica of the iconic bar, Cheers! Enjoy Cheers memorabilia, great food, and a lively bar in this amazing restaurant.

The cobblestone walkways of Faneuil Hall also frequently come to life with talented street performers! You can watch jugglers, singers, dancers, and other types of entertainers for free when the weather is nice. You can also enjoy a variety of festivals, fitness classes, and other events for free throughout the year!
