NU Bucket List #75: Harvard Square

Fall is here and there’s no better way to enjoy the season than to explore the boston area. don’t want to go too far? Take a trip out to Cambridge to enjoy beautiful Harvard Square! A quick ride on the red line will take you right to the great shopping, restaurants, and parks that can be found at Harvard Square!

For a great place to see the leaves change, you’ll want to walk through Harvard Yard. The Yard is the oldest part of Harvard’s campus and offers 22.4 acres of scenic park to explore! Want a less touristy area to walk through? The space between the Yard and Harvard’s Cabot Science Library on Cambridge street offers a less crowded place to sit, relax, and enjoy the yummy food trucks that stop by!

In the mood for some shopping? Harvard Square is home to antique and vintage shops, farmers markets, and so many other shops! Need a gift for the bookworm in your life? Harvard Square is home to a variety of eclectic book stores including the Harvard Book Store, Raven Used Books, and Grolier Poetry Book Shop!

Hungry after all that shopping? Night Market’s immersive decor will take you right to the streets of Southeast Asia by serving small plates with local street foods. For farm to table, traditional New England cuisine, head over to Harvest! Harvard Square boasts hundreds of other amazing unique eateries, so make sure to get out there yourself and start checking them out!
