NU Bucket List #83: Boston Winter

After the huge success of last year, Boston Winter is returning to City Hall Plaza! At Boston Winter, you’ll find a holiday market, an ice skating path, and plenty of holiday cheer. You can head to the heart of Boston 7 days a week to enjoy this amazing winter wonderland all season long!

Want a unique ice skating experience? Boston Winter features a custom designed 11,000 square foot outdoor ice rink decorated for the holidays! Admission is $15 and skates can be rented for $8. Until December 31st, the rink will be open Monday-Thursday from 11am-9pm, Friday from 11am-11pm, Saturday from 10am-11pm, and Sunday 10am-9pm. Hours will change in January-February and can be found here.

If you still need to get your holiday shopping done, Boston Winter is the place for you! With over 85 different chalets including locally and internationally made goods, you can easily find the perfect gift. Aside from selling handmade goods like jewelry and candles, you can find yummy holiday treats like cider donuts, apple crisps, and Belgian waffles.

There are a variety of exciting new additions to Boston Winter for you to check out this year! For an interactive wine and beer tasting experience, head to the Vinopolis chalet. You can also make your way through a Christmas tree maze to an Enchanted Castle, where you can find a chocolate tasting area! Need a break from the cold after all that exploring? You can find a heated rest station that also has outlets for you to charge your phones!
