NU Bucket List #91: Boston Burger Company

Looking for a new place to grab a yummy lunch or dinner? Head over to Boston Burger Company! Since 2009, Boston Burger Company has been serving an over the top spin on American classics like burgers, shakes, fries and more. Read on to learn more about what this iconic Boston restaurant chain has to offer!

Boston Burger Company has 3 locations in the Boston area – one in Davis Square, one in Cambridge, and one right by campus on Boylston Street! The atmosphere is casual and each location is decorated with its own unique local art. If you’re interested in going, be sure to head over early as BBC does not take reservations and is almost always busy!

Boston Burger Company offers some of the most unique and outrageous burgers in the Boston area. For something fried and cheesy, try the 420 burger, which is topped with mozzarella sticks, fried mac & cheese, onion rings, fries, bacon, golden bbq sauce, and american cheese. Craving a Thanksgiving dinner? The Pilgrim will satisfy you with its turkey burger, homemade cranberry mayo, stuffing, and american cheese!

Other than burgers, extravagant milkshakes, known as Freak Frappes, are BBC’s specialty! The permanent Freak Frappe menu includes milkshakes like the “S’more than you can handle” and “The King”, but BCG also has a rotating menu of monthly Freak Frappes. This month’s Freak Frappe, “Let’s Make Freakin’ Whoopee!” is a white chocolate raspberry frappe with a red velvet whoopee pie, a soft sugar cookie, strawberry frosted rim with sprinkles, cherry gummy hearts, and a strawberry white chocolate Lindt ball.
