OPEN Mission Statement

The Office of Prevention and Education at Northeastern provides prevention and education services on the topics of alcohol and other drugs, sexual violence, and sexual health. We seek to provide supportive, accessible and non-judgmental services to students as well as to engage our community on wellness-related topics.

COVID-19 UPDATE: All OPEN services (including the Sexual Violence Resource center) can be accessed remotely. Please email to schedule a meeting or to speak with a staff member. The OPEN email will be monitored during regular business hours: Monday-Friday from 8:30am-5:00pm.

We know that this can be a challenging and uncertain time. Please know that our staff are still available for all services and to answer any questions. Our team has put together relevant resources and information related to sexual violence and alcohol & other drugs that may be helpful during this time. A Confidential Resource for Survivors

The Sexual Violence Resource Center is a space for Northeastern students affected by sexual assault, sexual harassment, sexual exploitation or abuse, domestic violence, and/or stalking. We serve students who have been affected personally (recently or in the past) and those who are looking for resources to support others.

Peer Educators

Husky to Husky’s mission is to educate the Northeastern community on a range of wellness topics including: mental health, domestic violence, and alcohol toxicity. Peer educators work to bridge the gap between students and services with the goal of increasing access and availability.
