Sexual Violence Prevention Educator: OPEN’s Sexual Violence Prevention Educators offer OPEN’s “Up2Us: Bystander Intervention” presentations to students in first-year seminar classes and other groups/classes. These presentations cover topics including consent, bystander intervention strategies, responding to disclosures of sexual violence, campus resources, and more. OPEN is not currently hiring for this role, but applications typically open every summer. Please check back when applications are open, or email open@northeastern.edu with questions.

Husky to Husky Peer Educator: OPEN’s Husky to Husky peer educators focus on educating the Northeastern community on a range of wellness topics including mental health, stress, alcohol education, and sexual health. Clinical Social Work Internships

 

OPEN has provided clinical supervision and training to social work interns for over ten years. Social work interns have the opportunity to learn Motivational Interviewing skills, provide services related to substance use, and/or to be trained to provide services within OPEN’s Sexual Violence Resource Center.

OPEN typically accepts two second year interns. Interviews occur in the early spring for the following academic year. If interested, please work with your university field placement office and/or email your resume directly to open@northeastern.edu by the end of January.
