March 7th: NU-Sanskriti Tarang’2020 

Join NU-Sanskriti for Tarang’2020, a night of music, theatre, dance, fashion, and free Desi food! The event will be held in Blackman and will start at 5:30. Tickets are available on Mytickets.   

March 8th: Trident Cinema Cafe: Parasite 

Didn’t get the chance to see the groundbreaking, Oscar winning film, Parasite? Head to Trident Booksellers & Cafe for a free screening! No tickets are required, but plan on arriving early to get your seats! Lines will be allowed to form starting at 6pm and doors open at 6:30. 

March 9th: Break the Silence 

Break The Silence has been rescheduled to March 9th at 7:30pm in Afterhours. This is an open mic event for people to talk about their experiences with mental health and mental illness. If you are interested in speaking please email activemindsatnu@gmail.com

March 10th: LMA Music Trivia Night 

Are you a music expert? Join the LMA for a music trivia night, and free food, in Afterhours! The event will start at 6:30. 

March 11th: Confronting the Climate Crisis: A Way Forward

Head to the Curry Ballroom for Confronting the Climate Crisis: A Way Forward, a discussion with expert panelists on the climate crisis. The event aims to clarify the facts surrounding the climate crisis, explore policy solutions, understand the implications, and stimulate action. The panel of experts includes researchers, activists, and organizers from Northeastern and other organizations. Entry is free and the event will start at 6pm. 

March 12th: CUP Presents: Mekki Leeper w/ Julia Shiplett

Looking for some laughs? Head to Afterhours for a night of standup comedy featuring Mekki Leeper and Julia Shiplett! Entry is free and doors will open at 6:30pm. 

March 13th: Shakespearean Scene Competition

The Northeastern Shakespeare Society and Silver Masque Theatre Company are excited to be co-hosting a Shakespearean Scene Competition! Put together a 5 minute scene from any Shakespearian play or classical work and perform in front of a panel of judges for the chance to open for The Convent of Pleasure and the final Fortnight of the semester! The first night of the competition will be held from 7:00pm-9:00pm in Ryder 372. To sign up, click here
