Our Out and About series has returned for the school year! Check back every Friday for all the fun, cheap, and exciting events happening for the week around Boston or right here on campus!

September 9th: Men’s Soccer Home Opener

Hop on a free shuttle from Chicken Lou’s to enjoy our men’s soccer team home opener! Support our Huskies as they face off against UMass Lowell’s River Hawks at 5pm!

September 10th: Mark Gilday JR. and Friends @ afterHOURS

Love live music? afterHOURS is the place to be! Mark Gilday JR, a Northeastern alum, will be there performing indie folk and rock music at 7:30pm. This concert is free, so make sure to get there early to get a spot inside!

September 11th: Wonder Woman Screening @ Trident Cafe

Take a walk or short T ride over to Trident Cafe on Newbury Street for a screening of Wonder Woman! Enjoy Wonder Woman themed activities and a giveaway in their upstairs dining room at 7pm. The screening is also totally free!

September 12th: Power Plants

Here’s your chance to get that succulent you’ve always wanted! The Husky Environmental Action Team will be in 312 Ell at 7pm helping students plant their own succulents and serving free, vegan ice cream from Fo-Mu!

September 13th: Let’s Dance Boston!

Let’s Dance Boston is returning once again to bring music and dance into Boston’s Dewey Square from the 13th-17th! Wednesday’s theme is swing dancing, and from 6:00-6:45pm you can enjoy a free group dance lesson. If you’re looking for something less structured, head over at 7 for open dancing and live music!

September 14th: Neil Hilborn @ afterHOURS

Spoken word artist/slam poet Neil Hilborn will be at afterHOURS performing a set of poetry at 6:30pm. Hilborn is presently the most watched slam poet on the internet and is part of the popular performance poetry company, Button Poetry. You won’t want to miss seeing him for free!

September 15th: Fall Volunteer Fair

Check out the Fall Volunteer Fair to see what kind of volunteer and service opportunities are available this year! From 10am-2pm, Centennial Common will host over over 70 volunteer and service organizations in the area for you to connect and network with!
