July 27th: Pickling & Preserving: How to Make Your Summer Bounty Last All Year

Started a summer garden but don’t know what to do with your harvest? Learn how to preserve fresh fruits and vegetables so you can enjoy them all year round at this Global Learner Support workshop! The workshop will start at 6pm and you can sign up here.

July 28th: Student Town Hall on Fall Planning

Get updated on the university’s plans to reopen our campuses for the fall term at this virtual student town hall. Chancellor and Senior Vice President for Learning Ken Henderson and Senior Vice Chancellor Madeleine Estabrook will give an update on the planning and decisions to date. There will also be time reserved for Q&A. The town hall will start 8pm and can be joined here

July 29th: The Future of Transportation Resilience: Transportation Systems in the Age of COVID-19

Join the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and its Industrial Advisory Board for a series of panel discussions on Civil and Environmental Engineering solutions addressing the COVID-19 Pandemic. This edition in the series will feature the expert panelists discussing what transportation systems and transportation resilience may look like in a post-pandemic world. The discussion will start at 12pm and you can register here

July 30th: Exploring Dialect in Boston

Curious about how the famous Boston accent works? Tune in to a mini linguistics class hosted by Professor Heather Littlefield, Teaching Professor in Linguistics and Director of the Linguistics Program. Investigate the South Boston dialect and explore how linguists identify and describe the often-subconscious rules and processes that speakers use when they speak a dialect. The online mini-class will be hosted on Zoom and will begin at 4pm. 

July 31st: Campus Rec Virtual Fitness – Pyramid
