June 22nd: CUP Presents: David Dobrik 

Hey David Dobrik fans! CUP is hosting a virtual Q&A with David Dobrik exclusively for NU students on Microsoft Teams at 8pm! Check out CUP’s social media for the event link to be posted at 7:30pm. 

June 23rd: CUP Presents: FINNEAS

Join CUP for their last event until the Fall semester – a virtual concert and Q&A featuring FINNEAS! Finneas O’Connell is a 5 time Grammy Award Winner and has produced and/or co-written music for his sister Billie Eilish, Selena Gomez, Tove Lo, Halsey and more! The event will be held on Microsoft Teams at 8pm and is NU only. The link to the event will be posted on CUP’s social media channels at 7:30pm.  

June 25th: History Repeats Itself: Yellow Peril

The Asian Studies Program and the Asian American Center are hosting a virtual conversation to discuss anti-Asian, Asian American, and Pacific Islander racism during the COVID-19 pandemic. The discussion will start at 9:30am and you can register here

June 26th: Deepfake Technology: The (Mis-)Representation of Data 

Join the Khoury College of Computer Science for a conversation about deepfake technology with Dr. Brandeis Marshall. Dr. Marshall will discuss deep fake technology and issues related to ethics, privacy, and accountability for companies who use “black box” algorithms to make decisions and the respective societal impacts. The conversation will start at 11am and you can register here.
