August 16th & 18th: MFA Film: Apollo 11
In honor of the recent 50th anniversary of the moon landing, the MFA is hosting 2 screenings of the 2019 documentary Apollo 11. The film features a newly discovered trove of 65mm footage and more than 11,000 hours of uncatalogued audio recordings from the Apollo 11 mission. One screening will be held on the 16th at 5pm and the other will be held on the 18th at 3:30pm. Tickets are $13 and can be purchased here.
August 17th: Luau on the Lawn On D
Head over to Seaport for a Luau on the Lawn on D! Enjoy a cornhole tournament, a best Hawaiian shirt contest, giveaways, a photo booth and more! Entry is free and the event will be held from 12-5pm.
August 18th: Boston Fermentation Festival
The Boston Fermentation Festival is returning to the Boston Public Market for its 7th year! At this celebration of all foods fermented, you can see expert speakers discuss fermentation techniques, taste a variety of fermented foods and drinks, make your own sauerkraut in the communal #KrautMob and more! The festival is free and will be held from 10am-4pm.
August 18th: Cambridge Food Truck Festival
Get your food truck fix at the 2nd annual Cambridge Food Truck Festival! From 11am-6pm you can get dumplings, tacos, ice cream sandwiches, pizza, and so much more from over 40 food trucks! The festival will be held at 95 Prospect Street in Cambridge and admission is $5. For a full list of all vendors attending, click here.
