August 4th: The Red Sox Showcase

If you always wanted to know what it’s like to be a professional baseball player, the Red Sox Showcase is the event for you! From 10:30 am-12:30 pm, the Red Sox Showcase will be at the Hardiman Playground in Brighton with batting cages, pitching stations, and a virtual reality experience! You won’t want to miss the chance to spend the day like a Red Sox player for FREE.

August 5th: First Caturday at Boston Common

Want to experience an afternoon surrounded by cats? Head to the Gazebo on Boston Common from 1:30-4:30pm for First Caturday! Cats and their owners are welcome to socialize or simply soak up the sun at this purrfect event. Please only bring your cat if it is trained on a leash, in a carriage, or in a carrier!

August 5th-6th: Oyster Oyster Block Party

Spend the weekend eating oysters at the SoWa Open Market’s FREE Oyster Oyster Block Party! Enjoy oyster-themed dishes from all your favorite food trucks at the market from 10am-4pm. Special raw bars with freshly shucked oysters will also be traveling to SoWa for this weekend only!

August 6th: Shakespeare on the Common Final Show

This is your last chance to see an incredible performance of Romeo & Juliet for FREE! The Shakespeare on the Common series will be ending this Sunday, with the Commonwealth Shakespeare Company’s last show at 7pm.
