May 26th-29th: NUHOC Trip To Acadia 2017

Want to spend a weekend in the woods? Join the Northeastern Huskiers and Outing Club on their trip to the spectacular Acadia National Park in Maine! Enjoy camping, hiking, kayaking, biking, rock climbing and a bunch of other great outdoor activities.Head to the ticket center on MyNeu to sign up!

May 28th: Boston Public Market Sundaes on Saturday 

Need a place for an affordable and yummy snack? Look no further than the Kitchen at the Boston Public Market, who will be hosting an ice cream sundae party this Saturday! For $5 you can get a bowl of delicious Crescent Ridge ice cream topped with things like chocolate bark, hot fudge, and peanut butter truffles all from Taza Chocolate. The sundae party goes from 3pm-5pm and will be well worth it!

May 29th: SoWa Adoption Event

The already fantastic SoWa open market will be a little better than usual this Sunday, due to the addition of puppies! Thanks to RUFF Tales Rescue, a non profit organization, the SoWa open market will be the place to meet a bunch of great adorable and adoptable rescue dogs. Enjoy playing with puppies while also learning about how you can help RUFF Tales Rescue in their mission to help abandoned and abused dogs.

May 29th: Memorial Day Events

There’s so much to do in and around Boston this Memorial Day, it will be hard for you to pick where you want to go! Below is a list of just a few of the amazing events and activities going on:

Garden of Flags – See 37,000 flags planted on Boston Common in front of the Soldiers and Sailors Monument commemorating armed service members from Massachusetts who lost their lives in the line of duty.

Free Admission – All throughout Memorial Day admission will be free to the ICA, MFA, and the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum.

JFK 100 Centennial Celebration – In honor of JFK’s 100th birthday on Memorial Day, the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum will host a day long celebration with cake, music, and more! Check out our post for more info about the event here.

Honoring Our Heroes, U.S.S Constitution Museum – All throughout Memorial Day Weekend the U.S.S Constitution Museum in Charlestown will be partnering with Operation Gratitude to give museum goers a chance to create paracord “survival” bracelets and write thank you letters that will be sent to troops deployed overseas.

Honor and Tribute: Memorial Day Concert – Head to the Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park in the North End at 6:30pm for a musical tribute by the Metropolitan Wind Symphony (and a mystery performer!) honoring those who have died while serving in the military.
