Happy September and Labor Day weekend everyone! The new semester brings the end of our This Weekend in Boston series for the summer. I hope you’ve enjoyed reading it as much as I’ve enjoyed writing it! September 1st-3rd: Move in!

It’s that time of year again! With fall semester just days away, students will be flocking back to Boston to move into their new residences! Remember to arrive during your assigned move in time and ALWAYS return your bins after you’ve finished using them! For more move in dos and don’ts click here.

September 1st-3rd: Labor Day Weekend @ Lawn on D

What better place to celebrate Labor Day Weekend than the Lawn on D! Don’t miss music, food, games, and more fun all throughout the weekend all day long! Enjoy music and cornhole on Friday, the Art in the Park event on Saturday, and a screening of Jaws and more on Sunday. For a full list of events and times, click here.

September 1st: ICA First Friday Endless Summer

Celebrate the last Friday of the summer season at the ICA! From 5pm to 10pm enjoy live music from Abadabad and a sunset dance party courtesy of DJ Big Bear!  You can also find games, specialty cocktails, and more! Tickets will be $15 in advance for this 21+ event and can be purchased here.

September 2nd-3rd: SoWa Open Market Book Swap

Looking for some new books to enjoy this semester? Head to the SoWa Open Market from 10am-4pm on Saturday and Sunday for a book swap! Bring your new or gently used books to exchange them for other books provided by More Than Words, a non profit focused on empowering Boston youth. All unclaimed books will be donated to More Than Words at the end of the weekend, so come out and support this great cause!
